The British publication has lauded him as an expert in multilateral foreign policy and diplomacy.

According to the report, recent changes in global politics have ushered in a complex era for middle-power nations, where balancing relations among major global powers has become increasingly challenging.

In this context, Field Marshal Munir is recognized as one of the most successful multilateral strategists among middle-power states.

The report highlights that he earned distinction for being the best aligned with the unconventional and informal style of former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Financial Times describes him as a prominent example of a successful multilateral strategist and an adept diplomat, setting a benchmark for middle-power countries.

The article notes that Pakistan’s leadership maintained active diplomatic engagement with Washington, Beijing, Riyadh, and Tehran simultaneously, allowing Field Marshal Munir to create new diplomatic opportunities for the country amid the evolving international environment.

"His ability to navigate these changes effectively has strengthened Pakistan’s foreign policy and enhanced its global positioning," the British publication said.

The Financial Times further emphasises that his timely diplomacy and tactful engagement with President Trump proved beneficial for Pakistan, marking a significant diplomatic achievement. This success, according to the report, has left India disappointed.

The report also points out that India’s role as a middle-power has faced far greater challenges than anticipated, struggling to adapt to the changing global dynamics and the unconventional approach of U.S. leadership.

As a result, India is encountering significant obstacles in implementing a coherent middle-power strategy.
