Karachi (Staff Report): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday ordered to restore supply of gas to K-Electric as per its requirement immediately.
Talking to the media after chairing a high-level meeting, Abbasi said the issues between K-electric and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) have been sorted out. He said the electricity and water shortage issues faced by people of Karachi will be resolved.
To a question, he said Federal government has earmarked 30 billion rupees for development of Karachi.
Abbasi reached Karachi on one-day visit to address the power shortage issue of the city.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) president and Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif also in Karachi to attend the special meeting on energy crisis.
Federal Minister Sardar Awais Khan Laghari, finance advisor Miftah Ismail, CEO of K-Electric Tayyab Tareen and MD of SSG Ameen Rajpoot also attended the meeting .
