Gold price increases by Rs3,400, reaches to Rs393,700 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): The domestic bullion market witnessed a notable surge in gold prices on Monday as the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported that the value of 24-karat gold per tola climbed by Rs3,400, closing at Rs393,700 compared with Rs390,300 a day earlier.

The rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs2,915 to reach Rs337,534, up from Rs334,619, while the price for 10 grams of 22-karat gold also gained Rs2,672, settling at Rs309,417 against Rs306,745 on the preceding day.

In the international market, gold extended its upward momentum with a $34 increase per ounce, finishing at $3,719 from the earlier $3,685.

Silver prices also advanced in local trade, with 24-karat silver per tola appreciating by Rs63 to stand at Rs4,595 compared with Rs4,532 previously. 

The rate for 10 grams of silver registered an uptick of Rs54, moving to Rs3,939 from Rs3,885. On the global stage, silver added $0.63 per ounce, trading at $43.68 compared to $43.05 a day before.
