Gold price decreases by Rs1,900 to Rs347,500 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): The price of 24 karat gold experienced a notable decline in the local market on Thursday, falling by Rs.1,900 per tola.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA), gold was sold at Rs.347,500 per tola, down from the previous rate of Rs.349,400.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs.1,629, settling at Rs.297,925 compared to the earlier rate of Rs.299,554. A similar downward trend was observed in 22 karat gold, which saw its price drop by Rs.1,494 to Rs.273,107 from Rs.274,601.

The silver market also witnessed a decline in prices. The rate of silver per tola dropped by Rs.38, bringing the new price to Rs.3,428 from Rs.3,466. The price of 10 grams of silver also dipped by Rs.33, now standing at Rs.2,938 compared to Rs.2,971 previously.

On the international front, gold prices fell by $19, trading at $3,291 per ounce, down from $3,310. Silver prices also followed suit, decreasing by $0.38 to $32.70 per ounce.
