Quetta (Web Desk): In a disturbing series of attacks in Balochistan, at least eight people were killed on Saturday, including four labourers and four policemen.

The first attack took place in Kalat district, where four labourers were shot dead by unidentified assailants in the Malangzai area of Mangochar city.

According to the assistant commissioner of Mangochar, the victims were workers from Sadiqabad, Punjab, and were reportedly involved in borewell drilling.

Upon receiving news of the incident, Levies personnel arrived at the scene and transported the bodies to the Rural Health Centre Mande Haji for legal formalities.

In a separate incident, gunmen opened fire on a police patrol in Noshki, resulting in the deaths of four police personnel.

The attack occurred when the patrol vehicle came under ambush, and the bodies of the officers were later taken to a nearby hospital.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti condemned the assault, labeling it barbaric and vowing to bring those responsible to justice.

He also decried the earlier attack on the laborers in Mangochar, promising a tough crackdown on the militants involved.

These incidents underline the ongoing security concerns in Balochistan, where violence and terrorism continue to threaten both law enforcement and civilians.

President Asif Ali Zardari expressed profound sorrow over the deaths, condemning the attack on innocent workers as a heinous act.
