Islamabad (Web Desk): The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday announced a number of new restrictions as the positivity rate in various cities of the country surged more than eight percent.
The cities include Peshawar, which has reported the highest positivity rate at 19.98pc, followed by Swat at 17.09pc, Faisalabad at 16.69pc, Muzaffarabad at 15.56pc, Lahore at 14.72pc and Multan at 14.17pc. Besides, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Hyderabad are also included in the list.
“In the NCOC meeting this morning we decided to increase restrictions of activities contributing to sharp increase in covid positivity,: Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said in a tweet and added, “The provincial & ICT administration were also directed to tighten implementation of sop’s and crackdown on violations which are taking place.”

On Monday, Pakistan reported 3669 new cases of coronavirus with 20 more deaths during last 24 hours.
The death toll from virus in the country has now reached 13,863 and 583,538 patients stand recovered from the pandemic disease.
