OIC meeting in Istanbul condemns Israeli attacks, calls for de-escalation in region

Istanbul (Web Desk): The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has issued a joint statement following a two-day meeting in Istanbul, strongly condemning Israeli aggression against Iran.

According to international news agencies, the OIC expressed deep concern over the fragile and tense situation in the region, urging an immediate halt to Israeli strikes.

The joint statement announced the formation of a ministerial contact group to monitor regional developments and work towards reducing tensions. This group will maintain regular communication with international and regional stakeholders to support efforts aimed at de-escalation and preventing further aggression against Iran.

The OIC also called on the international community to take effective measures to stop the aggression and hold Israel accountable for its actions.

Notably, the statement did not mention the recent US attacks on Iranian nuclear sites.
