Pakistan observes day of mourning for Iranian helicopter crash victims

Islamabad (Web Desk): A day of national mourning is being observed today in Pakistan to express fraternal solidarity on behalf of government and the people of Pakistan with the government and the people of Iran, on the sad demise of Iranian President Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi and other Iranian dignitaries in the helicopter crash.

The National flag will fly at half-mast throughout the country today.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and seven others, including Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, died in a helicopter crash in the country’s northwest on May 19.

The Iranian government confirmed the deaths on the morning of May 20.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared today as a day of mourning on Monday.
