Peshawar (Staff Report/Agencies): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and independent candidates grabbed five seats each in the first-ever elections for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial assembly from the merged tribal areas.
According to unofficial and unconfirmed results:
PK-100: JI leading, ANP trailing
PK-101: JI leading, PTI trailing
PK-102: JI leading, Independent candidate trailing
PK-103: JUI-F leading, PTI trailing
PK-104: Counting underway
PK-105: Independent candidates leading
PK-106: Independent leading, PTI trailing
PK-107: PTI leading, Independent candidate trailing
PK-108: Counting underway
PK-109: Counting underway
PK-110: PTI leading, Independent candidate trailing
PK-111: Counting underway
PK-112 JUI-F leading, PTI trailing
PK-113: Counting underway
PK-114: Counting underway

The polling process concluded peacefully on Saturday for 16 Provincial Assembly (PA) seats. The voting process started at 8.00 am and continued till 5.00 pm without any break.
More than 2.8 million people were exercising their right to vote in the historic elections, being held with full security measures.
Tight security measures had been taken to ensure holding of the polling in a peaceful and transparent manner.
Besides local police, the Pak Army had also been deployed in and outside the polling stations to help the administration in maintaining a peaceful atmosphere in the elections.
