Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar on Monday tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Monday, his focal person for digital media, Azhar Mashwani tweeted.

He had mild symptoms (Fever and Flu) since last night and in self-isolation as per the advice of Doctors.

CM Buzdar underwent a test for Covid-19 earlier today after suffering from high fever and cough and quarantined himself.
In a tweet, Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the result of the Pakistan Democratic Movement's (PDM) "conspiracy" to spread covid-19 through public rallies had finally come forward.
"Despite following all precautionary measures, the Punjab chief minister has tested positive," she added.

Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator from Balochistan Kalsoom Parveen passed away due to COVID-19 in Islamabad.
According to details, the 75-year-old Senator was admitted to the hospital for the last few weeks after testing positive for the novel coronavirus.
Kalsoom Perveen assumed office as a senator in March 2015 and was due to retire next year.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan rose to 458,968 on Monday after 1,792 new coronavirus cases surfaced in the country during the last 24 hours.
According to the government's Covid-19 portal, the death toll related to coronavirus has reached to 9,392 with 62 fatalities reported during the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, total number of recovered COVID-19 patients across the country reached 409,082 after another 1,680 virus recoveries were reported in last 24 hours.
