Mustafa Kamal gets daughter vaccinated against cervical cancer to dispel rumours 

Karachi (Web Desk): Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Syed Mustafa Kamal clarified on Saturday that baseless claims were being spread regarding the cervical cancer vaccine.

Speaking to reporters at the office of the Drugs Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) office in Karachi, he explained that the vaccine plays a vital role in protecting girls from cervical cancer.

Kamal shared that he personally had his daughter, Rija Kamal, vaccinated earlier in the day, underscoring his belief in its safety and importance.

He said his family had always remained away from the media spotlight, but he chose to make this exception to build public confidence.

“It was not easy for me to bring my daughter before the cameras, but I did it so people can see the truth for themselves,” he remarked.

The minister added that he considers the daughters of the nation no different from his own and appealed to parents to ensure their daughters receive the vaccine as a safeguard against the disease.
