2nd Test: Pakistan win toss, bat against South Africa 

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Pakistan chose to bat first after winning the toss in the second and final Test of the two-match series against South Africa at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Monday.

The home side entered the contest riding high on momentum after securing a 93-run win in the opening Test at Lahore, which gave them a 1–0 lead in the series.

Left-arm spinner Noman Ali had been the hero of that match, producing a stunning 10-wicket performance that sealed Pakistan’s memorable victory over the defending champions.

Both teams are eager to make the best use of Rawalpindi’s playing conditions—Pakistan eyeing a clean sweep to clinch the series, while South Africa look to bounce back and restore parity.

Once the Test matches conclude, attention will turn to the limited-overs leg of the tour. The three-match T20I series will commence on October 28, with the opener scheduled in Rawalpindi and the following two fixtures at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

The tour will wrap up with a three-match ODI series from November 4 to 8, to be hosted at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
