Lahore (Staff Report): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Shaheen Raza passed away on Wednesday after succumbing to the novel coronavirus.
Gujranwala Deputy Commissioner Sohail Ashraf, who confirmed the MPA’s death, said the legislator’s health had deteriorated over the weekend and she had been on the ventilator.
According to Mayo Hospital CEO, Raza had tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to the hospital three days ago. He maintained that the deceased was also a patient of blood pressure and diabetes.
Raza is the first lawmaker in Pakistan to lose her life to the pandemic.
