Madina (Web Desk): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Thursday arrived in Madina Munawara.

On arrival in Madina Munawara, Governor Madina Prince Salman bin Sultan al-Saud received the prime minister at the airport.

He will pay his respects at Roza-e-Rasool of Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and offer prayers and Nawafil in Masjid-e-Nabwi.

He will offer special prayers for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening defence and security cooperation, recognizing the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing regional security challenges.

The resolve was expressed at a meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Muhammed bin Salman in Jeddah.

Separately, PM Shehbaz reiterated Pakistan’s strong commitment to facilitate Saudi investors, emphasizing the country’s immense potential across key sectors such as energy, agriculture, infrastructure, and technology.

In a meeting with Saudi Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih and Mohammad Al-Tuwaijri, head of the Joint Task Force for Economic Engagement, in Jeddah, the prime minister invited Saudi businesses to explore opportunities through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), a platform designed to ease the investment process.

Both Saudi officials expressed keen interest in enhancing economic relations with Pakistan.

They discussed ways to increase cooperation between institutions, aiming to fast-track investment projects and ensure their successful execution.

The dialogue focused on creating a framework for deepening economic collaboration and fostering a strong, long-term partnership between the two nations.

The discussions reflect a shared desire to accelerate economic development and to tap into the potential of mutual investments.
