Earthquake tremors felt in Islamabad, Pindi and parts of KP

Islamabad (Web Desk): A wave of tremors jolted several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), unsettling residents and prompting many to step outside their homes in fear.

Reports confirmed that the earthquake was felt in Malakand, Lower Dir, Hangu, Kohat, Bajaur, Swat, Buner, Shangla and North Waziristan. The shaking was also experienced in Swabi and Upper Dir.

Beyond the province, people in Islamabad and Rawalpindi noticed the tremors as well.

Officials stated that the earthquake registered a magnitude of 5.6. The epicentre was traced to Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush region, with the quake originating at a depth of 73 kilometers underground.

As buildings swayed, citizens hurried into open spaces, reciting the Kalima Tayyiba and praying for safety. Fortunately, there have been no immediate reports of casualties or damage to property.
