In meeting with Iranian envoy, Naqvi reaffirms Pakistan’s support to resolving US-Iran dispute through dialogue 

Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam in Islamabad on Monday.

During the meeting, both sides discussed arrangements for the second round of Islamabad Talks.

The two sides underscored the importance of finding a lasting way forward through dialogue and diplomatic engagement to help bring down current tensions.

The interior minister also informed the ambassador about his recent trip to Iran, sharing key developments from his visit.

Ambassador Moghadam commended Pakistan’s balanced and constructive efforts aimed at easing the situation, acknowledging its role in promoting de-escalation.

On the occasion, Interior Minister Naqvi stated that all necessary preparations for the next phase of the Islamabad Talks have been finalized, adding that strict and comprehensive security measures are in place to safeguard foreign delegations.

He went on to highlight the deep-rooted and friendly ties between Pakistan and Iran, noting that these longstanding relations are of great importance.

Reiterating Pakistan’s position, the interior minister emphasized that the Iran-US dispute should be addressed through dialogue, stressing that a stable and lasting resolution is vital for peace and stability across the region.
