Asia Cup 2025: India beat Oman by 21 runs

Abu Dhabi (Web Desk): India secured a convincing 21-run victory over Oman in the final group stage match of the Asia Cup T20 tournament, marking their third consecutive win in the competition.

After winning the toss, India chose to bat first and posted a competitive total of 188 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Sanju Samson was the top scorer for India with a solid 56 runs, supported by Abhishek Sharma’s 38 runs. Axar Patel and Tilak Varma also made important contributions, scoring 26 and 29 runs respectively.

In response, Oman struggled to keep up with the required run rate and managed 167 runs for the loss of four wickets in their 20 overs, falling short by 21 runs.

Oman’s bowling attack saw Shah Faisal, Jatinder, and Amir Kaleem each claim two wickets, but it wasn’t enough to restrict India’s strong batting lineup.

With this win, India continues to dominate the Asia Cup T20 group stage and looks poised for a strong finish in the tournament.
