Quetta (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed his determination to defeat terrorist elements at all costs.
He conveyed this resolve while chairing a meeting on the law-and-order situation in Balochistan during his visit to Quetta on Wednesday.
“Terrorists intend to divide the nation, but it is clear that the state must prevail and the war against terrorism must be won,” President Zardari said.
He announced that the province's Counter-Terrorism Wing will be equipped with modern weaponry.
Reaffirming his commitment to the province's development and sustainable peace, he remarked that Balochistan is close to his heart.
President Zardari emphasized the importance of introducing children to modern technology and ensuring that every child in Balochistan has access to education.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti briefed the meeting on the province's law and order situation.
Chairman Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, attended the meeting as a special participant.
Earlier, President Zardari arrived in in Quetta on a one-day visit to review law and order situation of the province.
On arrival, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti and provincial ministers welcomed the president at Quetta Airport.
