Islamabad (Staff Report): Counsel for PML-N Khawaja Haris continued his arguments in Supreme Court (SC) over Panama Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report today (Wednesday).
Members of different political parties and their lawyers reached the court for the hearing.
A three-member special implementation bench, headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and comprising Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijazul Ahsan, began hearing the case around 9am.
Lawyer of Sharif family Khawaja Harris resumed his arguments from Tuesday regarding the money trail of Sharif family's London properties.
Strict security measurements have also been ensured by deploying heavy contingent of security officers around the court to avoid any untoward situation.
During Tuesday’s hearing, Sharif family lawyer Khawaja Harris said neither JIT report is authentic nor its probe was fair. He said that JIT proceeded from the mandate as it was allowed to find answers of only thirteen questions but it included two more queries by its own.
No probe can be carried out on the report as JIT didn’t collect evidence through legal source, he continued.
