 Russian's Putin announces temporary ceasefire in Ukraine conflict for Easter

Moscow (Web Desk): Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared a temporary ceasefire in the ongoing war with Ukraine in observance of the Easter festival.

According to a statement from the Kremlin, the ceasefire will be in effect from 6 PM on April 19 until midnight on April 21.

The Kremlin has stated that Russia expects Ukraine to respect the ceasefire as well. Should there be any violations, the Russian military will not delay in responding appropriately.

President Putin emphasized that Ukraine's actions during this period will indicate whether they are serious about peace negotiations. He further stated that Russia has always supported the peace process and has kept the door open for talks.

Putin also welcomed efforts by the United States, China, and other global powers to find a fair solution to the Ukraine crisis.
