Trump announces sale of F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia

Washington (Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has announced the sale of F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia. Speaking to the media in the Oval Office, President Trump confirmed that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is arriving in the U.S. today, and the U.S. will sell F-35 aircraft to Saudi Arabia.

According to foreign media reports, Saudi Arabia is looking to purchase 48 F-35 fighter jets from the U.S., which are valued at several billion dollars. The purpose of this deal is to strengthen Saudi Arabia's defense capabilities.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will meet President Trump at the White House today, with extensive preparations underway for the visit. The two leaders are expected to discuss important topics such as defense, artificial intelligence (AI), and civilian nuclear programs during their meeting.

In addition, Saudi Arabia is seeking formal security guarantees from the U.S. President Trump is also working to fulfill the promise made during his visit to Saudi Arabia in May to secure a $600 billion Saudi investment.

During his address, President Trump also claimed that the U.S. has successfully thwarted Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Furthermore, he announced plans to send troops to cities suffering from high crime rates and revealed that a task force will be created for organizing the upcoming FIFA World Cup to ensure its success.

This deal could mark a significant milestone in U.S.-Saudi relations, not only further solidifying defense cooperation but also enhancing economic and strategic ties between the two nations.
