Islamabad (Web Desk): Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday called for enhanced access of women to education.
Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, he said difficulties in access to educational institutes is a major impediment to the progress of women, especially in far flung areas of the country.
The minister said the government is planning to launch a bus services for female students of rural areas to create ease of travelling for them, the Radio Pakistan reported.
He also underscored the need to create an enabling environment for women at workplace and provide them better facilities including daycares for their children to encourage more of them into national mainstream.
