Islamabad: Taking the notice of voters details leaks matter, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) wrote a letter to Chairman National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Usman Yousaf Mobin.
ECP wrote that due to the gegligence of NADRA irrelevant people got voters data before ECP. As per contact NADRA cannot share voters data to anyone else except ECP, but by doing so NADRA violated contact. ECP demanded Chairman NADRA to take action against those who did this crime.
Yesterday Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan demanded to remove Chairman NADRA from his post for sharing voters data with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N). He also decided to go ECP against him and for this purpose Chairman PTI has prepared petition against Usman Mobin. He also directed party leaders to raise voice against him on all forums.
Imran Khan said that PML-N government appointed Chairman NADRA, therefore he provided data to PML-N leadership in winning 2013 elections. “In the presence of Usman Mobin free and fair elections are not possible, “ he addd.
On the other hands NADRA spokesperson declared Imran Khan allegations of riggings baseless. NADRA was helping ECP in accordance with constitution, he added.
