PM Shehbaz, Libyan Commander-in-Chief discuss bilateral cooperation

Islamabad (Web Desk): Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Abu Qasim Haftar, the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, paid a visit to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House on Friday.

The two leaders engaged in meaningful discussions focusing on shared interests and potential areas of collaboration between Pakistan and Libya.

PM Shehbaz extended a warm welcome to the Libyan military chief and his accompanying delegation, expressing Pakistan’s strong commitment to fostering deeper ties with Libya.

The discussion centered on broadening bilateral cooperation across various sectors, aiming to build a more robust partnership between the two nations.

General Haftar conveyed his appreciation to the Prime Minister for the generous reception and the opportunity to engage in dialogue on strengthening mutual relations.

The meeting was also attended by key members of the federal cabinet and senior officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Defence Production Raza Hayat Hiraj, Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Tauqir Shah, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.
