Australia beat Pakistan by 360 runs in 1st Test

Perth (Web Desk/Agencies): Australia defeated Pakistan for just 89 to post a thumping 360-run win in the opening Test at Perth on Sunday.

The game ended decisively in the second session on the fourth day of the Test match as the entire Pakistan team scored only 89 in the second innings.

The Australian team declared the innings and set a target of 450 runs, but Pakistani batters looked helpless against the hosts.

In the second innings from Pakistan side, Abdullah Shafiq scored 2 runs, Imamul Haq 10, Shan Masood 2, Babar Azam 14 Saud Shakeel24, Sarfaraz Ahmed 4, Agha Salman 5, Faheem Ashraf 5, Amir Jamal5, Shaheen Shah Afridi 4, Khurram Shehzad was out on zero.

While bowling for Australia, Mitchell Stock took 3 wickets, Josh Hazlewood 3, Pat Cummins 1 and Nathan Lyon took 2 wickets.

Earlier, in the second session on Day-4, Australia declared their second innings at 233 runs for 5 wickets.

Usman Khawaja, David Warner, Marnus Labushin, Steve Smith, Travis Head are among the players sent back to pavilion.

Australian batter Steven Smith started the game with 43 runs and Usman Khawaja with 34 runs on the 4the Day while fast bowler Khurram Shehzad took the third wicket for Pakistan on 87 runs. Khurram Shehzad showed Steven Smith on 45 runs.

Australia lost fourth wicket on 107 runs when Travis Head was dismissed at the catch by Amir Jamal on 14 runs.

By the tea break on the 4th day of the match, Australia had a lead of 417 runs over Pakistan.
