Interbank dollar dips marginally, stock market daces downturn

Karachi (Web Desk): On Wednesday, Pakistan’s financial markets exhibited mixed performance with the interbank currency market seeing a minor decline in the value of the US dollar, while the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) ended the day in negative territory.

Data released by the State Bank of Pakistan showed that the US dollar fell by one paisa in the interbank market, closing at Rs. 281.50.

In the stock market, investors adopted a cautious stance amid global economic uncertainties and regional political tensions. After a day marked by fluctuations, the KSE-100 index dropped by 3 points, closing at 156,177.

Market analysts suggest that the cautious behavior of investors is linked to ongoing financial challenges within the country, combined with external economic and political pressures.
