Gold price decreases by Rs2,400 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): After reaching record highs recently, gold prices in the local market have seen a significant decline.

According to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, on Wednesday, the price of 24-carat gold per tola fell by Rs 2,400 to close at Rs 388,600. This comes after it hit a record high of Rs 391,000 on Tuesday.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold dropped by Rs 2,058 to Rs 333,161, while the price of 10 grams of 22-carat gold decreased by Rs 1,887 to Rs 305,408, compared to Rs 307,295 on Tuesday.

Internationally, gold prices also saw a decline, with the price per ounce falling by $24 to $3,668, down from $3,692 the previous day.

Silver prices followed the same downward trend. The price of 24-carat silver per tola fell by Rs 109 to Rs 4,387, and the price of 10 grams of silver dropped by Rs 93 to Rs 3,761. In the global market, silver prices decreased by $1.09 to $41.60 per ounce from $42.69 the day before.
