Karachi (Staff Report): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Karachi is the engine of national economy and we shall further improve its security environment.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS said this while visiting Pakistan Rangers Sindh Headquarters on Saturday.
The army chief was given a detailed briefing by DG Rangers Sindh about the security situation in the province and law and order situation in Karachi.
The COAS lauded efforts of Pakistan Rangers Sindh and all other law enforcing agencies for the improved security environment.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Karachi is the engine of national economy and we shall further improve its security environment so that the positive business trajectory is maintained.
The army chief was accompanied by Commander Karachi Corps Lieutenant General Humayun Aziz.
