Trump says US does 'not need' help from NATO allies for Iran war

Washington (Web Desk): President Donald Trump declared on Tuesday that American troops “no longer need” foreign military assistance in the ongoing confrontation with Iran, following a largely tepid response from allies to his request for support in reopening the Strait of Hormuz for oil shipments.

In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump highlighted the United States’ achievements on the battlefield, asserting that the country had never required backing from NATO members or other partners, including Japan, Australia, or South Korea.

“Because of the fact that we have had such Military Success, we no longer 'need,' or desire, the NATO Countries' assistance, WE NEVER DID! Likewise, Japan, Australia, or South Korea,” he wrote, stressing emphatically that “WE DO NOT NEED THE HELP OF ANYONE!”

The comments come amid escalating tensions in the region, where the Strait of Hormuz—a vital passage for global oil trade—has emerged as a key flashpoint. Trump’s message underscores a posture of self-reliance for US forces, even as efforts to enlist allied cooperation have met limited success.
