Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Five brave sons of soil, including three security forces personnel and two innocent civilians, embraced martyrdom when a vehicle borne suicide bomber exploded himself on a security forces convoy in Balochistan’s Nushki District, the military’s media wing said on Sunday.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), shuhada, include Havildar Manzoor Ali, Havildar Ali Bilawal, Naik Abdul Raheem, Civilian Driver Jalal ud Din and Civilian Driver Muhammad Naeem.
“In the ensuing sanitization operation, the terrorists were pursued and after intense fire exchange, three terrorists were effectively neutralized by the security forces,” the statement said.
It added that sanitization operations in the area would continue and perpetrators of this henious and cowardly act will be brought to justice.
“Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers and valiant civilians further strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR said.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have paid rich tribute to the security forces personnel who embraced martyrdom in the suicide bomb attack on their convoy in Nushki district.
In their messages, they prayed for the higher ranks of Shuhada and commiserated with bereaved families.
They also commended the security forces for eliminating three terrorists in the operation.
The president and the prime minister vowed to eliminate terrorism in all its forms from the country.
