Trump issues fresh warning to Iran, hints at possible military action against Tehran if proposed deal not reached

Washington (Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has once again taken a tough stance on Iran, stating that the proposed memorandum of understanding with Tehran is still not final.

Speaking to reporters during a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in France, Trump said that if the proposed agreement is not acceptable, the United States could once again consider military action.

He stressed that Iran must not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. According to him, the Strait of Hormuz would be fully reopened once an agreement is reached with Iran.

Trump further stated that the United States has no intention of investing in Iran, adding that reports about a $300 billion fund for Iran are incorrect.

He also clarified that the current memorandum does not include any immediate easing of sanctions, saying that the issue would be discussed at a later stage.

Meanwhile, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi praised efforts to reduce tensions in the Middle East and expressed hope that a final agreement would soon be reached.
