Lahore (Web Desk): Sindh budget for the fiscal year 2020-2021 will be presented today (Wednesday).
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, who also holds the portfolio of Provincial Finance Minister, will present the budget proposals with a total outlay of over Rs1200 billion.
Budget session of the Provincial Assembly will be virtual and it is expected that 75 per cent of members will attend the session through video link.
As per the sources, Rs5 billion will be allocated to fight the novel coronavirus while the development budget will include new schemes worth Rs 34.73 billion.
An estimated Rs 55 billion will earmarked for foreign-aided projects.
Rs 15 billion will be allocated for the district development programme and the local body institutions will get Rs 12:17 billion.
