CJCSC reaffirms Pakistan’s active role towards promoting regional peace, stability

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza on Thursday reaffirmed Pakistan’s active role towards promoting regional peace and stability, emphasizing the country’s commitment to bridging the gap between the Global North and South through dialogue, dignity, and principled diplomacy.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), while speaking at the closing ceremony of the Islamabad Symposium 2025, organized by NIPS and NUST, he stressed the importance of replacing confrontation with cooperation to ensure a more peaceful and balanced international environment.

General Mirza stated that Pakistan’s foreign policy continues to be guided by the principles of coexistence, mutual respect, and adherence to international law.

He expressed appreciation to the speakers and panelists for their meaningful contributions and acknowledged the dynamic nature of the evolving global and regional landscape.

The CJCSC reiterated Pakistan’s consistent stance in favor of the peaceful and just resolution of long-standing conflicts, particularly those concerning Palestine and Jammu & Kashmir.

General Sahir Shamshad Mirza added that Pakistan, situated at the crossroads of regions and civilizations, remains committed to exercising restraint and engaging constructively to bridge divides and promote a fair and balanced world order founded on justice, equality, and mutual respect.

The event was attended by academics, government officials, diplomats, business representatives, students, and faculty members from leading universities.
