Six terrorists killed in joint CTD, police operation in Kohat

Kohat (Web Desk): Six militants affiliated with Fitna-al-Khwarij were eliminated during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) carried out by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in the Lachi area of Kohat district.

According to sources, the raid was conducted jointly by CTD officials and local police following credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the area.

During the operation, security personnel also recovered a large quantity of weapons and ammunition from the militants.

Asif Ali Zardari and Shehbaz Sharif praised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police and the CTD for successfully carrying out the action against the militants.

In a statement, President Zardari said that neutralising the terrorists represents a significant step toward restoring peace.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also reiterated the government’s firm commitment to eradicate terrorism in every form from the country.
