Security forces kill 5 Indian-sponsored terrorists in Lakki Marwat: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces have killed five Khwarij belonging to Indian Proxy, Fitna al-Khwarij in an intelligence-based operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa’s (KP) Lakki Marwat district, the military’s media wing said on on Sunday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), own troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location during the conduct of operation.

The statement said that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed Indian sponsored Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

The military’s media wing said that sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored Kharji found in the area.

“The relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision "Azm-e-Istehkam", as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan, by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have praised the security forces for eliminating five militants belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij during an intelligence-based n operation (IBO) in Lakki Marwat.

In separate remarks, both leaders stated that the entire nation firmly supports Pakistan’s Armed Forces in their ongoing struggle against terrorism.

President Zardari said that terrorists linked to the Indian-backed Fitna al-Khawarij are involved in hostile activities intended to undermine peace and stability in Pakistan.

He added that the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their courageous security personnel in the mission to completely root out terrorism sponsored from outside the country.

In his message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif noted that the security forces are registering notable achievements in the fight against terrorism under the framework of Azm-e-Istehkam.

He reaffirmed the government’s firm commitment to eliminating every form of terrorism from the country.
