Gilgit (Web Desk): At least six people were killed and twelve others were injured as a tourist bus plunged into a deep ravine in the Thalichi area of Diamer district on Sunday.
As per officials, the bus moving from Islamabad to Gilgit via Karakoram Highway located at a high altitude along the River Indus, fell into a deep ravine. In the incident, at least six people include one minor and women lost their lives and twelve others were injured, they added.
Police and rescue teams shifted the injured and dead to hospitals.
The reason for the accident was still unknown.
Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Haji Gulber Khan has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives and ordered the provision of free of cost medical aid for the injured.
