President, PM discuss matters of national significance, review regional & international developments

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the current political climate, national security matters, and recent developments at the regional and international levels.

President Zardari and PM Shehbaz exchanged views on key national concerns, assessing the overall political and security environment as well as global and regional events influencing Pakistan’s strategic and economic outlook.

The prime minister briefed the president on the outcomes of his recent visits to Egypt and Malaysia, sharing details of his interactions with world leaders and Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts toward fostering peace in Gaza.

President Zardari and PM Shehbaz also held a one-on-one conversation, focusing on major policy directions and national priorities.

The two leaders emphasized the importance of ongoing political consultation on vital national matters to ensure harmony and progress.

The prime minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination, Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan, Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Senator Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, Senator Saleem Mandviwala, Senator Sherry Rehman, and Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari.
