Hamas hands over bodies of 4 more hostages to Israel under Gaza peace accord

Gaza City (Web Desk): The Palestinian resistance group Hamas has handed over the bodies of four more deceased hostages to Israeli authorities through the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

According to Arab media, the transfer took place under the Gaza peace agreement.

Earlier, Hamas had also returned the bodies of four deceased hostages along with 20 living captives to Israel.

Israeli media reported that following the recovery of the bodies, Israel is planning to open the Rafah border crossing near the Egyptian frontier, allowing humanitarian convoys to enter Gaza.

The move is being seen as another step toward alleviating the deepening humanitarian crisis in the territory.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the launch of the second phase of the Gaza peace accord, confirming that all 20 hostages previously held by Hamas have been safely released. However, he noted that “our work is not yet complete.”

At the same time, rescue teams in Gaza continue to recover the bodies of Palestinian martyrs from beneath the ruins left by months of fighting.

Local authorities reported that in the past 24 hours, 44 more bodies have been retrieved, further highlighting the dire humanitarian situation and intensifying global calls for urgent aid and lasting peace in the region.
