Khan Yunis (Web Desk): The Israeli occupation forces raided Gaza's largest Al-Shifa hospital in the wee hours of Wednesday threatening the lives of thousands of ailing and sheltering civilians in the building.
Israeli troops entered the surgical and emergency buildings of Al-Shifa hospital, while they have also captured the Gaza parliament building, police headquarters and most of northern Gaza.
The Israeli army has also said that it had raided certain areas of the Al-Shifa hospital complex, launched a targeted operation against Hamas, however, the statement did not give further details.
It is important to remember that a day before the Israeli attack on Al-Shifa, the White House spokesman said without providing any evidence that Washington had information that Hamas was using Gaza hospitals.
In recent days, Al-Shifa Hospital has become the epicenter of war, with hundreds of patients, staff and homeless people trapped in it. Short supply of medical supplies and power outages made it impossible to run incubators and other equipment, forcing the hospital to shut down over the weekend.
World Health Organisation (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has termed the reports of Israeli incursion into the Al-Shifa Hospital “deeply concerning”.
In a post on X, he said the agency has lost contact with its staff at the medical facility.
Reports of military incursion into Al-Shifa hospital are deeply concerning.

We’ve lost touch again with health personnel at the hospital.
We’re extremely worried for their and their patients’ safety.
Israel, on the other hand, claims that Hamas is using civilians as human shields. Israel has long alleged that militants have built military bases in hospital tunnels, a claim Hamas and hospital staff have repeatedly denied.
The IDF’s precise and targeted operation against Hamas in the Shifa Hospital is still ongoing.

We can now confirm that incubators, baby food and medical supplies, provided by the IDF, have successfully reached the hospital.

The Israeli military has claimed its forces have provided incubators and baby food to Al Shifa hospital in Gaza even as it conducts a raid against Hamas there.
It is pertinent to mention that Al-Shifa hospital was equipped with incubators as many of the babies were provided with incubators but they were taken of because of the lack of fuel to run them.
It should be noted that since October 7, Israel's attack has proved disastrous for 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza, in which more than 11,423 innocent Palestinians have been martyred, two-thirds of whom are women and children. There are also reports of more than 2,700 people missing in Gaza.
