Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Monday said that allied parties of the government have expressed full confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI).
He was briefing media in Islamabad after a meeting of the members of the government's allied parties with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The minister said the entire leadership of the allied parties, including Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) was present in the meeting.
Fawad Chaudhry said during the meeting all reservations of coalition partners over electronic voting machines (EVMs) and other electoral reforms had been addressed.
“All allied parties have expressed full confidence over the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and PTI,” he added.
The minister said it was unanimously decided that joint session of parliament will be summoned on Wednesday.
Fawad Chaudhry said that bills pertaining to electoral reforms will be tabled in the session and allied parties will support them.
