MNA Jamshed Dasti disqualified by ECP over fake degree

Islamabad (Web Desk): The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially unseated Jamshed Dasti from the National Assembly (NA) after determining that the academic credentials he submitted were not genuine.

The verdict came after a formal investigation was launched into complaints that questioned the legitimacy of his educational background.

According to sources, Dasti was asked to verify the authenticity of his school and college certificates.

The inquiry revealed discrepancies, and he was unable to provide satisfactory documentation to support his claims. As a result, the commission concluded that he had misrepresented his qualifications.

This is not the first time Dasti’s education record has sparked scrutiny. Over a decade ago, similar accusations led to his resignation from parliament, though he was later reinstated through legal proceedings.
