President Pezeshkian says Iran does not seek war but dialogue, warns US against pressure 

Tehran (Web Desk): Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that Tehran supports meaningful and constructive negotiations with Washington as his country is not seeking war but dialogue but any attempt by the US to impose its will or force Iran to surrender will fail.

Speaking to the media during a visit to an emergency services centre in Tehran, the Iranian president outlined his country’s foreign policy stance and commented on the regional situation.

He warned adversaries that all past attempts to force Iran into submission through power and pressure have failed and would continue to fail in the future.

The Iranian reiterated that Iran neither seeks war nor desires instability in the region. According to him, Tehran has consistently prioritised dialogue and diplomatic engagement and continues to support constructive negotiations.

However, he stressed that any talks must be conducted on an equal footing, adding that excessive pressure could undermine and derail the negotiation process.

Masoud Pezeshkian further emphasized that lasting peace in the region can only be achieved through mutual respect and a policy of non-interference in each other’s internal affairs.

He also made it clear that Iran is fully capable of defending its sovereignty and will not remain silent in the face of any aggression.

Political analysts view his remarks as reflective of Iran’s “flexible yet firm” diplomatic approach—one that extends an openness to dialogue while firmly upholding national interests and refusing to compromise on core principles.
