Iran-US message exchange ongoing through Islamabad, Pakistani delegation likely to visit Tehran: Baghaei

Tehran (Web Desk): Iran has confirmed that the exchange of messages between Iran and the United States (US) is continuing steadily through Pakistan’s mediation.

Speaking to the media in Tehran, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry Esmaeil Baghaei revealed that diplomatic engagement between the two sides has accelerated since last Sunday, raising prospects for progress in the negotiation process.

Baghaei commended Pakistan’s role in promoting regional stability, noting that messages conveyed through Islamabad carry significant weight in advancing the talks.

He indicated that a visit by a Pakistani delegation to Tehran is likely in the near future, which could further facilitate the dialogue.

Since the initial phase of the ceasefire, multiple communications have already been exchanged between the two countries.

The Iranian spokesperson firmly rejected allegations regarding Iran’s nuclear ambitions, stating that Tehran has no interest in developing nuclear weapons.

He described claims that Iran could produce an atomic bomb within days as entirely unfounded, arguing that such assertions are being used to justify undue pressure and accusations of terrorism against the country based on a program that, according to him, does not exist.

Baghaei underscored that Iran will not retreat from its principled policies. "Iran continues to support the resistance in Lebanon and has not retreated from this position. Tehran’s stance is clear, and we are prepared to move forward with the negotiation process in good faith."
