'Diplomacy never ends': Iran's FM Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei hails Pakistan’s mediation

Islamabad (Web Desk): Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has stated that meaningful engagements were conducted with Pakistan acting as a mediator, during which both sides exchanged communications and written messages on several occasions.

He clarified that it would be unrealistic to anticipate a final agreement emerging from a single round of discussions, emphasising that such processes require time and continued dialogue.

Baghaei said that the talks covered significant issues, with a particular focus on easing regional tensions, including those involving Iran.

He also underlined that Tehran is fully utilising all its resources and capacities to defend and uphold its national interests.

Baghaei conveyed gratitude to Pakistan’s top leadership for their role in facilitating the process, specifically acknowledging Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar for hosting and supporting the negotiations.

He further remarked that communication and consultation between Iran and Pakistan will remain ongoing, expressing strong confidence that engagement with regional partners, particularly Pakistan, will continue in a sustained manner.
