Lebanese Interior Minister visits Pakistan Monument, Islamabad Police Lines

Islamabad (Web Desk): Lebanon’s Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar visited the Pakistan Monument and Islamabad Police Lines on Sunday as part of his two-day official trip to Pakistan, undertaken on the invitation of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry joined the Lebanese dignitary during his engagements in Islamabad.

At the Pakistan Monument, Ahmad Al-Hajjar was accorded a guard of honour by a well-presented contingent of the Federal Constabulary upon his arrival. He paid tribute to the martyrs by placing a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offering prayers.

The visiting minister was subsequently briefed about the monument’s historical background and its significance as a national symbol of Pakistan. He admired the monument’s distinctive architecture and expressed his appreciation for its historical importance and the Yadgar-e-Shuhada.

The Lebanese minister later travelled to Islamabad Police Lines, where a special police contingent formally saluted him. The national anthems of both Pakistan and Lebanon were played as part of the reception ceremony.

Ahmad Al-Hajjar inspected a special parade staged by Islamabad Police and praised the force for maintaining high professional standards and discipline.

He also recognised the services of police personnel by presenting awards to officers and officials for their notable performance.

Inspector General of the Federal Constabulary Riaz Nazir Gara, Inspector General of Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi, several DIGs of Islamabad Police and other senior officials attended the ceremony.
