Rajpal Yadav reveals why he turned down Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Om Shanti Om’

Mumbai (Web Desk):  Indian comedian and actor Rajpal Yadav has revealed in a recent interview why he did not take up a role in Om Shanti Om, starring Shah Rukh Khan.

According to the actor, the film’s production was being handled by Bobby Chawla, who had advised him to meet Shah Rukh Khan. However, later a misunderstanding arose that Rajpal Yadav had refused the film due to scheduling issues, while he was not even properly informed about the offer in detail.

He clarified that it was simply a miscommunication, which led to a negative impression about him in the industry. Later, however, the matter was resolved.

Rajpal Yadav said that during the shoot of the film Billu, Shah Rukh Khan personally hugged him and cleared the misunderstanding.

Praising Shah Rukh Khan, he said the superstar is a complete actor who has excelled in theatre, television, and films.

The actor also shared that he played the role of “Budbudiya” in Billu, but was later replaced in the film by Irrfan Khan.

He further added that he is currently busy preparing for his upcoming film Bhoot Bangla, which is scheduled to release on April 17.
