Pakistan preparing for electronic signing of US-Iran peace deal: PM

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said  that Pakistan is close to a peace agreement between Iran and the United States (US), with the deal expected to be finalised within the next 24 hours.

He expressed confidence that the development would mark a historic milestone and help lay the groundwork for long-term peace and stability across the region.

In a post on his X account, the prime minister stated, “We are closer to a peace deal than ever before.

With finalisation likely expected in the next 24 hours, Pakistan is preparing for the electronic signing of the peace deal immediately after, followed by technical-level talks next week.”

He also extended gratitude to the US and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their continued engagement in the negotiations, while appreciating regional partners for their support.

“We are confident that this historic peace deal will form a strong foundation for lasting peace,” he added.
