CDA launches free Wi-Fi service at 30 locations across Islamabad

Islamabad (Web Desk): The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has launched a new initiative to provide free Wi-Fi at 30 different locations across Islamabad.

The project, being implemented in collaboration with the National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC), will offer internet access at various stations, parks, and sectors in the city.

As part of the plan, 84 metro stations will be equipped with free Wi-Fi, while other key areas such as parks and prominent locations, including the Secretariat to UP Road (14 stations) and Faiz Ahmed Faiz to GT Road (70 stations), will also benefit from the service.

In addition, free Wi-Fi will be available at CAA Hospital, Japan Park, Lake View Park, Daman-e-Koh, and Fatima Jinnah Park.

Residents and visitors will also be able to enjoy this service at weekly markets, such as those in G-6 and H-9, as well as in Islamabad's upscale sectors like F-6 and F-7.

According to CDA officials, the Wi-Fi service will be fully operational by the end of this month, providing residents and visitors with access to fast, modern internet connectivity.

The project aims not only to improve internet access for citizens but also to strengthen digital connectivity at key public locations in the city, allowing both residents and tourists to benefit from modern technology.
