Karachi (Web Desk): The price of 24 karat gold witnessed a notable drop of Rs5,000, with the per tola rate falling to Rs277,800 on Friday, compared to Rs282,800 on the previous day.
According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association (ASSJA), the price of 10 grams of 24karat gold dropped by Rs4,286, reaching Rs238,169 from Rs242,455.
The cost of 10 grams of 22 karat gold also declined, dropping to Rs218,321 from Rs222,250.
In the silver market, the price of per tola silver decreased by Rs50, bringing it down to Rs3,400, while the price of 10 grams of silver fell by Rs42.86 to Rs2,914.86.
In the international market, the price of gold also experienced a reduction, falling by $50 to $2,666 per ounce, from its previous value of $2,716, as noted by the association.
The decline in both the local and international prices suggests a correlation between the global market trend and the local price adjustments for gold and silver.
