China calls Islamabad Talks ‘positive development’, urges restraint over strait of Hormuz issue

Beijing (Web Desk): China has expressed strong support for the recent talks held in Islamabad aimed at reducing tensions in the Middle East, calling them a “positive development.” Chinese officials urged all parties, including the United States and Iran, to exercise restraint and act in the broader interest of regional stability.

In a statement issued by the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Beijing emphasized hope that all relevant sides will fully adhere to ceasefire commitments.

It stressed that taking serious steps toward peace is an urgent necessity, warning against any actions that could further escalate tensions.

Commenting on the ongoing war of words between Washington and Tehran over the Strait of Hormuz, China called on all parties to exercise extreme caution.

It said safeguarding global energy supply chains remains a top priority and expressed readiness to cooperate with all sides to ensure stability.

Beijing’s statement also highlights Pakistan’s growing diplomatic role in regional affairs, while sending a clear message that the international community would not accept any military escalation or blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, given its potential impact on the global economy.
